And now I'M stupid

officervakarian replied to your post: So I missed the whole Avengers hype-up thing that…

I didnt see Thor or Captain America last summer, but Iron Man’s always been one of my favourite superheroes, and I saw avangers anyway and WOW it was good

AaaAAaaaAah high five for Iron Man

Everyone says The Avengers was really good and I just really want to see it because it looks like a fun movie but I also want to see the others before that because it feels ~*right*~

have wanted to see Thor if only because I thought “Hey Norse mythology I like that” (I only found out later that Thor was part of the whole superhero/Avengers thing and I was like “wat”)

Captain America hasn’t been on my radar at all though I have like literally zero interest in it

But I guess I’ll be watching them all anyway so WE’LL SEE

So I missed the whole Avengers hype-up thing that started way back in 2008 which has gradually grown into this giant exploding volcano of excitement and I never really caught up with it

Haven’t seen any of the movies, though I pretty much know the dealie-o with all of them because people just generally don’t shut up about this kind of thing

I’ve never been much for superheroes or comic books and I’d be the first to admit it, I think the only thing I’ve ever seen in that field was the first two Spiderman movies and that was only because other people were going to watch it

Pretty much any knowledge or opinion I might have of anything to do with the superhero… multiverse (I don’t even know what to call it) is because I listen to other people talking about it

But I was bored today and, on a whim, decided to sit down and watch the first Iron Man movie, because of all the superheroes I’ve known, Iron Man’s been the only one that’s really caught my interest (I think having that one dream in which I was Iron Man kind of sealed the deal)

And well

Wow

I think I’m just gonna sit down and marathon the rest of them now

sephirona:

I’m not really finished with Garrus (missing a few scope details on his eyepiece…and does his eyepiece change after the first game? Feels like I saw different versions of it) and I honestly should have made both of them…bumpier…but I am sleepy and tired and wanted to get the uploading over with. durr

I think I’ve mentioned how much I adore Wrex before but I’ll just say it again because I just love him that much. Wrex was a lot easier to draw than Garrus, imo, because his face is less humanoid and flatter and also has lots of knobbly bobbly scars and creases that serve as good visual markers for me when I’m judging spatial distances between details. I had a lot more fun drawing Wrex, his face is so squashed ILOVEIT

Pretty sure I missed details here and there because I was too lazy to look up better references, but maybe I’ll try harder next time. ;~; I haven’t advanced far enough into the game to meet all of the characters yet but I’m tempted to draw more ME aliens because they’re just so fabulous looking. I assume Thane doesn’t show up in ME1? I saw pics of him and originally wanted to draw this as a trio because he’s green, but then I realized iunno anything about him so I scrapped that idea. bleh. Good night =w=

The acoustic version is really sweet too.
Also, heeey, guess what, grimdorks again.

The shield dissipates. Six sprints for a Falcon and leaps off the spire and is caught by Jorge, who pulls Six up into the Falcon.

  • Carter-A259: “Get us outta here.”

The Falcon begins to pull away from the spire.

  • Carter-A259: “Control? This is Noble One. Spire One is green, and you’re free to engage. Have a nice day.”
  • Air Control: “Copy that, Noble One. Be advised, all ground units: Frigate Three-One-Eight heavy is inbound, and MAC rounds have been authorized.”
  • Jorge-052: “MAC rounds? In atmosphere?
  • Carter-A259: “One way to get their attention! Hang on to your teeth, people!”

The UNSC Grafton, in a shallow dive, moves towards the spire past the Falcon with Six, Carter, and Jorge. The Spartans brace themselves.

The Grafton continues to move towards the spire, and, with a bright flash, fires its MAC cannon, hitting the Spire and shattering it. Jorge, satisfied, turns back and nods at Carter and Six, failing to notice as a purple glow illuminates the sky above the Grafton. An energy projector beam shoots down from the sky and hits Grafton’s bow section, instantly gutting the ship. Secondary explosions blossom along the hull, and Grafton begins to plummet towards the ground.

  • Auntie Dot: “New contact. High-tonnage.”

The Spartans watch as the aft section of the Grafton explodes. The forward section crashes to the ground.

  • Jorge-052: “No. No! Somebody tell me this ain’t happening!”
  • Air Control: “UNSC frigate Grafton, do you copy?”
  • Carter-A259: “Grafton is dust! We need to get out of here, now!”

As the shattered UNSC Grafton falls towards the surface, a CSO-class supercarrier , the Long Night of Solace, is revealed holding position over the destroyed spire.
